Final Project

My final project is based upon the designs of my roommate, Nancy Krebs. She is in her senior year at Philadelphia University and soon will be working on her collection. This project is a collaboration of sorts, she needed someone to stand in so she could take pictures of her designs, and I needed a final project.
The line that I was photographed and created this project was a result of a problem solving class. She was challenged to create different designs using different media including glass, shelf liner, tree skirts etc. With this in mind I wanted to create a logo that reflected this hodge podge of media. The font and photographs chosen reflect this.
I created a business card, shopping bag, and magazine layout. The business card has already been put to use in several auctions where her clothes were sold. The magazine layout was the most involving. I didn’t have any creative direction in the shoot, so most of what I was able to do involved the manipulating of the images. I distilled and added a film grain to the photos to mimic the destroyed look of the garment. The bag made of brown paper and uses an original sketch manipulated in Illustrator.
As a whole these pieces work well together, each with a similar element that translates through the work as a whole.

I really loved the logo. Felt like it was chic and went well with the aura of what the company represented
