My project was to do a poster, CD cover, program and CD, along with a logo, for Counterparts.
The poster and program cover are the same, except for the ticket information, which is left out on the program cover. I did the poster in Illustrator. I took a picture of a Counterparts alumni at last year's spring concert and traced it with a pen tool. I placed it coming out of a red block/box. I wanted it to be very graphic design oriented, in order to keep the clean and simple brand image.
The CD cover was also done in illustrator with some photoshop editing for the inside cover. I took a photo of myself and traced lines over-top using the pen tool. I did the same thing on the back for a white silhouette of a microphone.
The actual CD has a similar feel to the CD cover. It is a singer cropped and drawn with the pen tool and includes the group name and CD title.
The logo is simple and was created in illustrator. I took my color scheme for the projects from the logo I created.
The program was done in indesign and has a really simple theme. The inside is all black and white in order to be cheaper for printing.
